Brenton Russell, CLFP, Operations Specialist
Brent has been with Apex Commercial Capital for two years. He started working in financial services in 2015. Before coming to Apex CommercialCapital, Brent had a managerial role with another lender. “I have a lot of experience, starting from reviewing applications to reviewing funding documents to managing the entire pipeline flow – from the application coming in, all the way to the booking process. Here, [at Apex,] it's more from the second we get a doc request, it's making sure we have all the proper information, and trying to streamline the process – from doc requests coming in and going out and getting it over to funding – trying to make the process as seamless and path-of-least-resistance as we can make it.”
Favorite thing about working at Apex Commercial Capital: “So my favorite thing is probably getting to talk to all the different types of people and hearing their stories – how they came to run their business and why they need the equipment. It’s really satisfying when someone says, ‘You guys did a great job taking care of me. I appreciate everything you guys have done – you've made this really easy. I hope we can do more in the future.’ Because then I did my job. If we made it easy for the customer, the broker, the direct guys, the vendors – if we made it easy for them, then we did our job.”
Favorite thing to do outside of work: “I'm really into fantasy football. The season just ended and talking to some of the guys at work about our fantasy leagues is fun. Also, spending time with the kids, taking them to the aquarium and zoo – even just taking them to a friend's house to let the boys go – that's fun to watch.”
